Terms of Service
Last updated: September 10, 2026
By using Byrah, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Byrah helps freelancers create deposit payment links. Clients can pay by card via Stripe Checkout, or through manual methods you enable (such as Interac e-Transfer, PayPal, or custom payment links). Card payouts go to your connected Stripe account. Manual methods are sent outside Byrah; you confirm receipt in the dashboard. We are not a bank, lender, or escrow agent.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate account and deposit information.
- Comply with Stripe’s terms (for card payments) and applicable payment laws for any manual methods you offer.
- Verify Interac/PayPal/other payments yourself before marking a deposit paid.
- Handle client relationships, contracts, refunds, and tax obligations yourself.
- Do not use Byrah for illegal or prohibited goods/services.
Payments
Stripe processes card payments. Fees, chargebacks, and payout timing are governed by Stripe. Refunds for card deposits are issued in Stripe; Byrah updates deposit status when Stripe notifies us. Manual payments have no automated verification. Byrah may enable an optional platform fee later; any fee will be disclosed before it applies.
Early access
During early access the product may change, and features may be limited or free. We may introduce paid plans with notice.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit liability for lost profits, data, or business interruption arising from use of Byrah.
