Free quote template for small businesses

What to put in a quote, a simple template you can copy, and a free way to send quotes clients can review and accept online in one tap.

What every quote should include

A clear quote answers the client’s questions before they ask. Include:

  • Your business name and how to reach you
  • The client’s name and the date of the quote
  • What’s included, line by line, in plain words
  • The total price, and the currency
  • The date or timeline you’re quoting for
  • How much deposit you need to lock it in, and how they can pay
  • How long the quote is valid, like 14 days

A simple quote you can copy

Quote for Maya, June 2. Bridal bouquet and table arrangements for 60 guests, Saturday June 14. Total: $1,200 CAD. Deposit of $300 secures the date, paid by card, Interac e-Transfer, or PayPal. The rest is due one week before. This quote is valid for 14 days.

Short, specific and easy to say yes to. Swap in your own service, price and dates.

Why quotes in DMs go quiet

A price buried in a chat is easy to lose and hard to act on. The client has to scroll back, ask how to pay, and wait for your reply. Every extra step is a chance for them to book someone else.

A quote on its own link fixes that. They see exactly what’s included, accept it, and pay the deposit right there.

How quoting works in Byrah

In Byrah you write the quote once: what’s included, the price, and the date. Your client gets a private link where they can review it, ask questions in the same thread, and accept in one tap. Once they accept, the deposit link is ready, and you see the moment it’s paid.

Questions

Is there a difference between a quote and an estimate?
Usually a quote is a fixed price the client can accept, while an estimate is a rough guess that can change. If your price is set, send a quote.
Is Byrah’s quote maker free?
Yes, sending quotes is free. If the client pays a deposit by card or PayPal, those providers charge their usual fees.
Does my client need to sign up to accept a quote?
No. They open the link, review the quote, and accept it. No account needed.
How long should a quote be valid?
Seven to thirty days is common. Shorter is better for busy dates, so clients decide quickly.
